Kanye West rang in 2019 with a series of tweets that reaffirmed his support for President Donald Trump and slammed Democrats — two months after declaring he was distancing himself from politics because, as wife Kim Kardashian said, he was rather ignorant about such matters.
But it turns out that falling back in line with the MAGA agenda wasn’t the only big news the rapper and Twitter provocateur was sitting on over the holidays.
Us Weekly reports that West, 41, and Kardashian are expecting their fourth child, via the same surrogate they used for their 11-month-old daughter, Chicago. Multiple sources told the publication that the couple’s baby — a boy — is due “in early May.”
Us Weekly reported in August that the couple had one embryo left from their earlier in vitro fertilization procedure.
West and Kardashian, 38, also are parents to North, 5, and Saint, 3, who were born the old-fashioned way.
A source told Us Weekly that Kardashian “always wanted four kids.” However, the couple turned to a surrogate for Chicago because of serious complications Kardashian faced during her pregnancies with North and Saint and after giving birth.
With North, Kardashian dealt with preeclampsia, a potentially life-threatening condition that causes high blood pressure. Kardashian also experienced placenta accreta, a condition in which her placenta attached to her uterine wall. The condition required additional surgeries to remove the placenta and repair the scar tissue in her uterus. After having Saint, Kardashian said her doctors warned her that getting pregnant again would not be good for her health.
Meanwhile, Kardashian may have to be wondering what to do or say about her husband’s decision to start off the new year by reaffirming his support for Trump and criticizing the majority of African-Americans for siding with Democrats.
Following her husband’s bizarre, head-scratching visit to Trump in the Oval Office in October, Kardashian admitted that she had to sit West down and educate him about speaking out about things he may know little about.
“I feel like he’s very misunderstood and the worst communicator,” Kardashian told the audience, according to The Daily Mail. She also said West isn’t very political. She explained that her husband happened to appreciate Trump’s personality, though she said he was ignorant when it comes to Trump’s politics.
“So I’ve educated him recently,” she added. “I think it gets really misconstrued.”
Kardashian’s comments came after West tweeted in October that his eyes were “now wide open.” He apparently was dismayed that ultra-conservative commentator Candace Owens falsely claimed he had described the logo for her “Blexit” campaign, designed to deter black Americans from voting Democrat.
West tweeted: “My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!”

Evidently, West has had a change of heart.
“Trump all day,” West posted, followed by a tweet containing three dragon emojis, an apparent reference to his view that he and Trump share “dragon energy.” Another tweet stated: “Just so in 2019 you know where I stand.”
West also said he would perform with his “(expletive) hat,” a reference to the Make America Great Again hat that’s associated with Trump’s presidential campaign. West frequently tweeted about the hat and wore it in 2018, including during his Oval Office visit.
One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m black
